Hi, I am Matthew. I am a fully qualified, Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). 

I decided to train as a driving instructor as I wanted a job with real satisfaction and that used my teaching skills. Helping a student to become a safe and confident driver and pass their driving test, gives a real sense of achievement .

I undertook training with LDC which is a driving school that uses the latest adult coaching and training techniques. I have been trained to a high standard and use student-centred learning to teach pupils.

Student centred learning is about encouraging pupils to be self-reliant, to make decisions for themselves and evaluate what they think is important and safe whilst driving. It aims to develop safe and life long positive driving habits. Students participate in their own learning and help to set goals for each lesson by identifying what is working well and any areas they would like to develop.

My aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible. Each lesson has targets that have been agreed with the student and we work hard to achieve them. Over the course, students learn how to safely control the car, understand and manage road features, how to safely deal with other road users and, finally, with more difficult road situations.

• £40 per hour
• £380 for a block booking of ten hours

• Intensive course. One or two week course with the driving test at the end. To book this option you must have a little bit of driving experience and can confidently get the car gong. This has to be booked well in advance and includes test fees. £1499
